We have two laboratories, one in the hazelnut integration and one in the oil plant. As an important function of our quality management, many physical, chemical and microbiological analyzes are performed in our laboratories for raw material input control, process control and final product controls.
In our physical analysis laboratory, sensory analysis, sieve, guillotine test, viscosity, thickness, weight control, oil residue analysis, color measurement with spectrometer are performed in taste and appearance from raw materials to the final product.
In our chemical analysis laboratory, the detection of aflatoxin, which has become the most important problem of the hazelnut industry, can be done with our state-of-the-art HPLC device and we participate in FAPAS international proficiency tests every year and we do our own verification in the best way and reach reliable results. Oil can be determined with our Gerhardt Soxtherm device, which gives much faster results compared to old methods. In addition, many other analyzes such as moisture, acid, peroxide, ash, pH, soap content, wax value in turbidimeter, iodine number are performed in our chemical laboratory. In our oil plant laboratory, we have a Bruker oil and moisture determination device, which is available in a few companies in Turkey and gives results in 10 seconds. Fatty acid composition analysis is carried out with our GC (gas chromatography) device, which is used for the detection of different vegetable oil mixtures for imitation and adulteration purposes, especially in the liquid oil group.
In our microbiology laboratory.analyzes such as e.coli, enterobacter, coliform,total bacteria, mold-yeast are carried out and we perform our own verification in the best way by participating in FAPAS international qualification tests every year and reach reliable results. By constantly following the current laws and regulations with our quality management system department, our analyzes are continued in accordance with TSE standards.
